I am writing this e-mail in connection with our phone conversation today. As I explained to you over the phone, I am a graduate student at the University of Oulu in the Education and Globalization Master's Degree Program, and I have plenty of problems as an international student while I am studying in Finland. I'll inform you only about my material and financial needs at this point. At another time, I will write about my unmet expectations and overall dissatisfaction with the intellectual and academic "Quality Food," offered in this programme, my future plans, and my inability to adjust to Finnish culture and customs, except that I have learned to enjoy the sauna, expensive food and expensive bus travel—sometimes I feel like I ride an airplane instead of the city bus. It is expensive. It is a long distance ride. I have no student discounts, because I am over 29 years old, and I do not qualify for a student discount. Moreover, I really do poorly with the cold weather in Finland, my cold room (the pipes are not working "they have air in them") with no hitting and studying in miserable and poor living conditions. I also have received an increased rent notice from the housing office, but I have seen no improvements in my living conditions or the hitting system. Unfortunately, I did not expect such treatment and human services. All of this is only a part of the problem, I have not managed to raise support for my second year of studies and I do not qualify for student aid from the Finnish Social Security office or any other institution, except that I have received private funding and individuals' donations and contributions. As some other fortunate individuals, or students, although I have a nokia phone, I have no parents, or home to call or ask for support except friends and close relatives. I do not have saving from my years of studying in the USA, because I sent to friends, family, and other trusted persons, and I had not imagined that I'd end up without a job upon the completion of my studies, or being a victim of fraud and lies from a non-profit organization, which name I will not mention in this correspondence. Frankly, I have always being quite independent and open minded person, and I have made it on my own, earning below the poverty line in the USA, hardly paying my bills, cleaning, being overworked, underpaid, but always welcomed to friends homes and families, and helped. As I mentioned to you during our conversation, I have not paid my rent for three months and I can pay if I find private donations or support. I have also received a court decision receipt for 785.06 euro (including interest and late payments). I have also tried to find a job in Finland, but I am not doing quite well with it, even if I enjoyed a paid internship, because I can work up to three months without a residence permit. Because I do not have 6,000 euro for my second year of studies, I cannot get a residence permit, and even if I get one, I still do not qualify for a student aid, because I am a foreign student. Having stayed and studying in Finland for a year and a half, I really do not want to get a residence permit, because I have no plans to setting here. If my previous studies and qualifications are not recognized and I cannot find a job, then I no longer see that as a just and fair society, or the good of the welfare state. At this point, I'll not lecture you on Political Philosophy and Political Economy, because you might not be interested in these subjects. These are some of my struggles, which I personally find rather discouraging and upsetting. As I try to complete my studies and find support and financial help in order to complete my degree, can you help me in anyway? Do you know anyone who might be willing to offer financial help to a need Bulgarian student? What are some of you ideas? How can I manage through the rest of my studies? Please let me know what do you think? With kind regards and best wishes Да добавя, че тук няма ограничение за работа на бг граждани.
